About the Database

This database is now open and, over the next few months (May to July 2010) we aim to build it up so that it becomes a comprehensive source of information on:

  • Empirical research on the attitudes, identities, experiences and/or perspectives of young children on issues ethnic diversity
  • Evaluative research of early childhood programs that include an emphasis on promoting respect for ethnic diversity (including outcome evaluations of the effectiveness of such programs as well as process evaluations)
  • Details of relevant early childhood programs that include a focus on promoting respect for ethnic diversity

All research and/or programs that fall into one or more of the above criteria will be included in the database. No attempt will be made to screen items in relation to their quality. Rather, the Working Papers that are being produced by the six Una Learning Groups will include critical reviews and assessments of existing research and programs.

Submissions Welcome

We would very much welcome your support in helping to build this database. If you have details of research publications that fall into the above areas and/or of early childhood programs then please use the online form to add these to the database.

All new items added will be checked and verified before being included in the database.
