Associate Projects

About Associate Projects

A key aspect of Una’s work is supporting locally-developed and led initiatives aimed at reducing racial and ethnic divisions and promoting socially inclusive communities through the development of effective early childhood programmes.

Currently, Una is committed to supporting work in five countries:

  • Australia
  • Colombia
  • Indonesia
  • Kenya
  • Northern Ireland

Details on each of the Associate Projects being supported in these countries will appear in this section of the website as they become available. Please see the sub-menu to the right.

Una Associate Projects vary from the development of very small-scale pilot projects in just one or two early childhood settings through to the evaluation of regional and/or national programmes. They also vary in their nature and scope, with some being family-based initiatives while others being either classroom-based and/or media-led programmes.

Each Associate Project does have a number of key characteristics however:

  • It is locally-developed and led
  • It includes a significant focus on addressing issues of racial and/or ethnic diversity
  • It reflects the three core values of Una in being: children’s rights-based; outcomes-focused; and evidence-informed

Please do not hesitate to contact us at  to find out more about our Associate Projects.
